Margery Freeman is a veteran educator who has taught for decades in the public and non-profit worlds. That teaching experience has included primary and secondary education, in addition to extensive work in the fields of adult education and adult literacy. For years she also worked for the National Council of Churches doing child advocacy work. In this podcast Margery talks with "Going South" host, Mark Patrick George, about how she got involved in antiracist work, the challenges of talking about race with white folks, and how the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond's work has impacted her life and the nation.
